Exactly one week until Emerald Bound is released! It is now on pre-order at amazon.com and my blog tour is scheduled for September 28-October 2. Stay tuned for blog tour schedule. Right now I'm feeling so thankful for everyone who has supported me on this journey and to everyone who is still supporting me. Your enthusiasm and excitement for Emerald Bound makes this all so much better. I can't wait for you all to read it!

To all of you who've been eagerly awaiting word on when Emerald Bound will be availalbe, I finally have good news! Emerald Bound has an official release date of September 25th! That's less than a month away. I have so much to do to prepare for the release, but I am so excited.

I just got my first round of edits back from my editor, something I've been nervously anticipating ever since I signed the contract a few months ago. But the editor loved Emerald Bound so much, she designated it as an Editor's Pick! So I get a spiffy little badge to display alongside the book cover up above.

I'd been feeling nervous about getting the first edits back because I really had no idea what to expect. But her suggestions are managable and I've started diving into edits already. I've got two weeks to finish, and then I'll send it back for round two! This is so much fun!

I'm going to be participating in a Facebook party on Thursday, August 20, hosted by Evernight Teen. I'll be on from 8:30-9:00, eastern time, talking about my book, the characters, and my motivation behind writing the book. I'll also be offering some sneak peaks and other fun stuff. More details to follow.

A few hours ago I got my first glimpse at the mock-up of the cover for Emerald Bound. I am so thrilled! The artist captured the tone of my book perfectly and I'm really happy with the way it's all coming together. I can't wait to see the finished version and to share it with the world. Thanks to Jay at Simply Defined Art for the beautiful cover!
